Our 3D box memory frame has been designed specifically to showcase your baby’s tiny hand and foot casts, creating a beautiful feature that can be treasured for years to come.

The versatile shadow box design can also be used to display other sentimental keepsakes, such as first shoes, hospital bracelets, photographs or other precious baby mementos.

* 2 x 120g bags of alginate powder
* 2 x 160g bags of casting plaster

Finishing Materials

* 1 x wooden mixing spatula

Everything you need to create, finish and beautifully display your baby’s precious 3D casts is included in your kit.

What You’ll Need at Home

To make the casting process as easy as possible, you will also need a few basic household items:

* A container for mixing the alginate
* A separate container for mixing the plaster
* A manual whisk
* Empty plastic tubs or suitable containers for your baby’s hands or feet
* No More Nails or another suitable adhesive can be used to securely attach your finished casts. While superglue is included in the kit, we have found that No More Nails provides a stronger more reliable finish and is easier for the casts to stick. 
* Additional fine-grit sandpaper and cheese grater are recommended for smoothing and levelling the back of your casts, ensuring they sit flat and securely against the frame. 

Tip: We recommend having everything prepared before you begin, so you can focus on creating your baby’s beautiful keepsake. 🤍

Once complete, simply display in our shadow box frame provided with either a border or heart insert, ready to display or gift to your loved ones.

This kit includes enough alginate and casting stone material to make 2 casts. Additional can be purchased if required.

STAGES:

1️⃣ PREPARE

Simply mix our skin-safe moulding material with water to create a soft, gentle mould ready for your baby’s tiny hand or foot. 🤍

2️⃣ CAST

Gently hold your baby’s hand or foot in the mixture for just a few moments while it sets. Our moulding material is quick-setting, gentle and painless, making the process simple and stress-free. 🥰

3️⃣ SET

Pour in our casting stone and leave it to fully dry allowing 2-3 hours. Once set, carefully peel away the mould to reveal your beautiful, detailed cast — a timeless sculptural memory to treasure forever. ✨

4️⃣ FRAME

Secure your finished casts inside the shadow box frame provided, then display them proudly in your home or gift them to someone special. A beautiful keepsake of those tiny moments that go by far too quickly. 🤍
